Rihal has marked an impressive start to 2025 with a quarter defined by strong delivery, sectoral diversity, and internal growth. The first quarter of the year showcased the company's agility and depth in execution across multiple industries, reinforcing its role in empowering both public and private sectors to embrace digital transformation—a key driver of Oman Vision 2040.

National Recognition: The Ejada Award

Starting the year on a high note, Rihal was honored with the prestigious 2024 Ejada Award for Institutional Excellence in the Private Sector category. This recognition, presented by the Ministry of Labour, acknowledges Rihal's outstanding efforts in employment and Omanization. The Ejada Award is part of a national initiative aimed at elevating performance standards and fostering innovation and transparency across sectors. This achievement reaffirms Rihal's commitment to nurturing Omani talent and supporting national development goals in alignment with Oman Vision 2040, demonstrating the company's belief in the potential of local talent and its dedication to creating meaningful opportunities that merge human potential with digital innovation.

Diverse Sectoral Impact

Rihal's solutions have proven their versatility across multiple industries, with the company collaborating with over 11 sectors during Q1. The company's belief that data is at the heart of every sector is reflected in their wide-ranging partnerships:The government ministries and public sector led the way with 10 projects, followed by oil, gas, and energy with 5 projects. Technology and digital services accounted for 3 projects, while logistics and infrastructure, security and military, and social and cultural organizations each saw 2 projects. Investment and sovereign wealth, along with finance and insurance, rounded out the portfolio with 1 project each.

Delivering Digital Excellence

In Q1 2025, Rihal successfully delivered 31 digital projects across four core solution areas: Custom software development led the way with 12 projects, showcasing Rihal's expertise in tailored digital solutions.

Data engineering and analytics followed with 8 projects, highlighting Rihal's capabilities in transforming raw data into actionable insights. AI and automation, including RPA and AI agents, accounted for 6 projects, demonstrating Rihal's commitment to cutting-edge technologies. Managed services and support rounded out the portfolio with 5 projects, ensuring clients receive ongoing assistance and optimization.

The most requested solutions during the quarter included consulting and digital strategy, which were deployed to shape national-level initiatives, and enterprise integrations, delivered in 6 large-scale environments. RPA automation was enabled in 7 major projects, while data cleansing and transformation services were utilized across 5 sectors.

Growing Team, Growing Impact

Rihal's growth trajectory continued in Q1, with the team expanding by 18.4%. The company now boasts 270 employees, with 215 in technical roles and 55 in administrative and support positions.

Rihal maintains a strong Omanization rate of 89.5% and a diversity ratio of 41%. Four new departments or units were introduced during the quarter, reflecting Rihal's commitment to organizational development and specialized expertise.

In-Country Value: Economic Contribution

Rihal's commitment to national impact is evident in its In-Country Value (ICV) figures for Q1 2025. The company spent 464,691 OMR on nationally registered supplier services and 11,081 OMR on nationally registered supplier goods, demonstrating its dedication to supporting Omani businesses and communities through local hiring, building locally, and investing in local services.

Impactful Projects Showcase

National Integration at Scale

For the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning (MoHUP), Rihal developed the Oman National Spatial Strategy Projects Dashboard. The client needed to consolidate and verify beneficiary data across more than 12 government entities. Rihal's solution was a central data validation engine that ensured accuracy, reduced duplication, and automated eligibility checks. The impressive outcomes included processing 11 million records, creating a unified dataset across all government sources, and reducing manual verification by 80%.

One Month, Full Delegation

Rihal created the 3rd GCC Beach Games Website & Portal for the Oman Olympic Committee, building an end-to-end digital infrastructure for managing Oman's national delegation to the GCC Games.

The suite of tools managed athlete data, delegation workflows, logistics, and accommodation. The project supported more than 10 teams with a single platform, achieved full automation of onboarding and logistics, and was delivered end-to-end within just one month—from planning to full deployment.

Innovation: Meet Siraaj, the AI-Powered Productivity Platform

Q1 2025 saw the introduction of Siraaj, Rihal's new AI platform designed to help teams work smarter. This innovative solution connects internal emails, documents, meetings, and data, making everything searchable, actionable, and secure.

Siraaj offers a range of capabilities in both Arabic and English, including asking questions, summarizing meetings, and automating tasks. Key features include smart search across company knowledge, AI chat trained on proprietary data, workflow triggers with alerts and auto-summaries, and meeting insights from recordings and transcripts.Currently being piloted with key players in government and energy sectors, Siraaj is built for private cloud or on-premises deployment, providing full control, compliance, and productivity.

Global Presence and Community Engagement

International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC) Malaysia 2025

In February 2025, Rihal participated in the International Petroleum Technology Conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This event provided an opportunity to engage with global leaders in oil and gas digitalization.

The high level of interest and meaningful discussions highlighted Rihal's growing role as a regional tech player in the global energy space and its ability to deliver domain-specific innovation at scale.

Sultan Qaboos University Career Fair

Rihal also participated in the Sultan Qaboos University Career Fair in February 2025, hosting a full booth to engage with diverse Omani talent in the tech field. Both technical and non-technical team members were present to introduce Rihal's work environment, services, and values.

Notably, the level of awareness and engagement from students increased significantly compared to previous years, reflecting the brand growth Rihal has achieved within the local tech community.

Building Global Exposure

Rihal's journey of growth and global connection took the team across four dynamic destinations during Q1: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, and the USA. These international engagements served as platforms for the team to learn, engage, and represent Rihal's vision on a global stage.

Strategic Growth & Partnerships

A highlight of Q1 was Rihal's new partnership with Halliburton, officially signed at the Life Exhibition in the United States.

This partnership will support Halliburton's software and represents a significant milestone in Rihal's international expansion, demonstrating how far the company has come and its continued growth beyond borders with purpose and ambition.
